High-stakes wilderness thrillers taking shape on the page
Every thriller begins with a spark — a news headline, a whispered fragment, a question that won't let go. Sterling's current works-in-progress are rooted in real research, real places, and the very real darkness that lurks just outside the edges of ordinary American life.

Where the wilderness swallows secrets whole.
Deep in the isolated forest, gunrunners go unnoticed by the outside world — until they cross paths with one U.S. Forest Service Ranger. Sterling weaves a story of black-market crime, military shadows, and the desperate fight to restore order before a life is lost.
Power. Greed. Control. The oldest villains wear new faces.
Tracing the origins of modern criminal networks back through decades of silence, Sterling's second project-in-progress follows a protagonist who uncovers that the most dangerous threats aren't found in cities — they're hiding in plain sight, just outside of town.
Sterling follows her characters on a journey, surprised by their reactions — writing as fast as she can to keep up with their escapades.
